JPP-Ⅲ underwent an expansion, completed in August 2024, to establish a nucleic acid oligomers production area and introduce manufacturing equipment.
Features of JPP-Ⅲ
- In August 2024, a production area for nucleic acid oligomers was established in the G-Area, spanning from the 2nd to 5th floors of JPP-Ⅲ.
- A solid-phase peptide synthesizer with production capacity ranging from 10–100 mmol scale was introduced.
- The nucleic acid oligomer production area is equipped with a comprehensive suite of equipment, including solid-phase synthesizer, reaction vessels for cleavage, chromatography purification system, membrane/evaporation concentrators and lyophilizer, all which enable seamless production starting from the scale-down equipment installed in the laboratory.
- The chromatography purification system, featuring a continuous purification function with dual columns, is installed and anticipated to deliver exceptionally high purification efficiency.
- In accordance with GMP manufacturing standards, operations ranging from chromatography purification to lyophilization, and packaging can be carried out within Class 100,000 clean rooms.
- Each piece of the introduced equipment is capable of producing up to 10 kg of nucleic acid oligomers annually.
