CSR – Corporate Social Responsibility
Juzen Chemical recognizes the realization of safety, security, and trust as its social responsibility, and promotes CSR activities to grow together with society as a company that contributes to the people’s health.
In pursuing our Corporate Mission “to contribute to people's health through added value we create,” we will not only seek our own profits but also take responsibility for the impact of our business activities on the environment and society.
In addition, we protect the safety and interests of our stakeholders and contribute to society by enhancing our corporate value.
As a result, it’s a great pleasure to share that Juzen Chemical was ranked Bronze in the sustainability assessment by EcoVadis (Headquartered in France), which is awarded to companies evaluated within the top 35% of all companies evaluated in 2024.
Juzen Chemical has always focused on reduction of environmental impact, safety and health activities, and strict compliance while meeting the needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Not satisfied with this assessment result, we will continue to focus on the CSR activities to grow into a company that is trusted more by the entire society.
Quality
J-QS (Juzen Quality System) – Pharmaceutical quality system to protect drug quality
Due to the globalization, the API we supply will be marketed worldwide. Responding to that situation, our quality system “J-QS” is designed to comply with the global standards by accessing the updated GMP information of Japan, Europe, the U.S., and PIC/S.
In the J-QS, the following various SOPs are in place to ensure a highly reliable quality system, based on which the Production Department focuses on maintaining quality of APIs and improving productivity, the Quality Control Department provides reliable test results, and the Quality Assurance Department ascertains the appropriateness of these activities and assures the certain quality.

These SOPs are continuously reviewed by employees all with high motivation for improvement. Aiming at High-Quality Control System Easy-to-Practice, our quality system has been upgraded through consistent efforts, including promotion of revision of the SOPs according to the latest GMP information and improvement of the content to be easily understood and implemented at the production sites.
This spirit, which is carried through from the research stage, has formed the fundamental backbone for us to ensure a high level of reliability in quality and provide the GMP system and technology transfer system tailored to each development stage, allowing a seamless transition from lab-scale process development and pilot-scale development (for investigational drugs) to commercial production.
Environment
Efforts for environmental conservation
Juzen Chemical obtained ISO14001 (environmental management system), and all employees are engaged in efforts to conserve the environment, comply with regulations, and promote energy and resource efficiency.
In addition, Juzen Chemical is also actively addressing health and safety issues, which are garnering increasing attention in the pharmaceutical industry. We underwent EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) inspections from the pharmaceutical mega-company to proactively address these issues.
